Children are active learners who explore their world in a variety of ways. At The Children’s Place at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, we believe play is the work of the young child. Through play, children are able to build foundations for basic academics — reading, writing, and mathematics — which make up their later learning experiences.
The Children’s Place preschool offers a play-based curriculum for students 1 to 5 years old that is developmentally appropriate for their ages. Our curriculum is designed to be flexible, thematic, and to foster developmental growth through multi-sensory experiences.

School Year
The Children’s Place follows the Denton ISD calendar as closely as possible. We follow the same holiday and break schedule as DISD, with the exception of a few dates that we will notify all families of ahead of time. A calendar of specific dates including early releases, planned school closings, special events, and more will be provided to our families at the beginning of each semester.
