Sunday School
Join us on Sunday morning for Sunday School classes for the whole family. Children and youth will find age-appropriate classes, while adults will find classes that are thematic in their approach. Want to join? Email the church office to be added to our Sunday emails!
Children’s Classes
Nursery
Room 102, 9:00am-Noon
Our nursery for infants and toddlers is located in the Education wing and is fully staffed on Sunday mornings.
Preschool
Room 100, 9:30am-10:30am
Preschool children two through five years old will learn the stories of the Bible through experiential play. The stories will be taught through the lens of the love of God in Jesus Christ, and the children will begin the work, through play, of becoming grounded in the narratives of the faith.
Children’s Sunday School
K-5th Grade, 9:30am-10:30am
All children in grades K-5 will meet in the Media room for Sunday school. Each week students will explore a story through a rotation of art, story, puppet, and discovery. Join us in our dedicated children’s area!
Youth Classes
Middle School and High School
The Den, 9:30am-10:30am
All youth meet in the Den for Sunday school. We begin with a full youth gathering that usually includes breakfast, then separate into middle and high school classes. We also have a corresponding class for youth parents, as well as any other adults who would like to attend. All classes will be using the Imago Dei curriculum developed by Kirsten Trachsel.
Adult Classes
Coffee and Covenant
Karen Jones and Alison Plunkett McStravick
Library, 9:30am
Please join us for Coffee and Covenant Sunday mornings at 9:30am during the Sunday School hour. We will enjoy fellowship together as we discuss the Bible, ponder theological conversation topics, or sometimes just talk about our lives. Bring a cup and let’s talk!
Pastors’ Class
Richard Culp and Lisa Patterson, Chrissy Stevens, Darhyl Ramsey
Room 206/208, 9:30am
We will study the book of Joshua during the spring. Join this multigenerational class full of intriguing Biblical study on Sunday mornings.
Imago Dei Class
Amy and Chris Fair
Room 205, 9:30am
Imago Dei is a faith exploration class where we discuss topics ranging from the Trinity to our unique faith backgrounds. From lifelong Presbyterians to new church members, all are invited to learn and grow in faith. The curriculum will parallel the middle school Confirmation Class curriculum but will be written for adults. While it is hoped that the parents of middle school students will attend, anyone interested in exploring their faith is welcome to join us for thoughtful discussion.
Presbyterian 101
The Membership Committee offers the Presbyterian 101 Class for those who are new to St. Andrew and the Presbyterian Church or for those who are veterans of St. Andrew and the Presbyterian Church but want to learn more about the history and theology of the Church and St. Andrew in particular. Topics covered in the Presbyterian 101 Class will be announced prior to the first session in the Shield and the bulletin. Our next class meets on February 8, 15, 22, and March 1. The meeting on March 1 will be with a breakfast with the Session. Classes meet at 9:15am in the Parlor. Contact the church office to sign up or to ask questions. Child care is provided.
